On Tuesday the 29th of May the Royal New Zealand Navy Band came to visit St Joseph’s School. We learnt about the instruments they play and listened to some amazing tunes! A big thank you to the Royal NZ Navy Band.

African Drummin
At the end of Term 1 we were lucky enough to have Robert and his African Drums come to school for a concert. Everyone had a great time learning how to play the drums, sing some songs and a dance. Thank you to the Kaikoura District Council for your support.
Ride On Programme
The Year 3 to 8 students participated in the Ride On Bike Skills programme on Thursday last week. Thanks to Sport Tasman for making this possible. The students learnt new skills and were also taught how to ride safely on the road.
ANZAC Day
Our students participated in the Dawn Service on ANZAC Day. All students made a poppy to go on our ANZAC Day wreath.
Mother’s Day
Thank you to the ladies from the Parish who came to school and showed some of our senior students how to make posies to give to Mum’s on Mothers Day after Church.
