Congratulations to the following students who have been chosen as St Joseph’s School Head Students for 2010.  Claudia Smith, Head Girl Braiden Broughan Head Boy, Isabelle Coates Deputy Head Girl and Jeremy Howden Deputy Head Boy.

Remember to bring your swimming togs from Monday to Friday for swimming. Lets hope the weather sorts itself out so we can swim, lots! This Thursday the High School are going to try again for their swimming sports, so no swimming for us.

Congratulations to everyone who competed in the Cross Country today at Lynton Downs School. Thanks also to the team at Lynton Downs for putting on such a great event!

Camp notices have gone out for the year 5 and 6 camp from the 19th to the 21st October . Parents, if your child has not bought one home, let me know at school and I will give one to your child to take home. If you have any other concerns please contact me at school.

This term we are learning about what makes us Kiwi’s. On Friday Room 1 made Hokey Pokey, it was really yummy!

Room 5 are currently working on debating.  We have learnt about how to debate by being either in the affirmative or negative team.  Some of the topics we have debated have been; 

-  Zoos should be abolished

-  New Zealand is the best place in the world to live

-  We all need heros

We are going to be presenting more debates next week.  Feel free to come and watch a live debate in Room 5!
