On Friday we received our Sun Smart accreditation. Cheryl Ford, Viv Butcher and the mayor Winston Gray all came to school to present us with a certificate, a plaque, a UV index board to let the students know the UV Index each day, sunscreen and 3 beautiful trees to plant. Thank you very much to the Cancer Society, and remember to wear your hat!

During term 3 all of the students attended a Jazz Band concert performed by students from Dunedin’s Kings and Queens Colleges, what a wonderful performance!

The Room 1 and 2 students were fortunate to make kites with Mrs Ingram. They had a lot of fun running around the field making their kites fly!

We also celebrated the opening of the Rugby World Cup with an All Blacks Day. One of our students Grandfathers was an All Black and the school children enjoyed learning about his rugby career and trying on the range of jerseys he had. Thanks to Brian Ford.
